Why DCPS?
I am a product of the public-school system in India and I believe in public schools. When I moved to DC, it only seemed logical to enroll my daughter in DCPS. The real charm of DCPS is its diverse community. My daughter’s middle school was like a mini UN.

Why am I excited to be a member of the Chancellor’s Parent Cabinet?
People are too quick to judge DCPS without having experienced it. I want to break down that negative stereotype that is all too common. My family takes advantage of everything the system has to offer and I want all parents in DC to be able to do the same.

Issues I care about most as a parent:
We need to expand course offerings, especially in Music and Art. More access to extra-curricular opportunities.
