Why DCPS?
I’m a product of public schools so I wanted my children to have the same experience.

Why am I excited to be a member of the Chancellor’s Parent Cabinet?
I look forward to giving the Chancellor an unfiltered feedback from a parent’s perspective. I am also excited to bring my experience advocating for students in the juvenile justice system. I want to ensure their unique needs are not left out of the conversation.

Issues I care about most as a parent:
As a parent, I care most about the achievement gap, social emotional learning and student with disabilities that require special education services or 504 plan. The educational needs of incarcerated youth are also a priority to me.
