Overview
Chancellor Lewis D. Ferebee’s Parent Advisory Board is composed of 32 (four per Ward) DCPS parents and guardians from across the District. Parents and guardians who serve on the Advisory Board will learn more about DCPS priorities and provide input into the implementation of policies, programs and new initiatives. Board members represent different school communities, students and families from all eight Wards and were selected based on their connection and commitment to DCPS, their diverse background and experiences.
The Chancellor’s Parent Advisory Board will meet once a month in the evening from September to May. Some of the topics addressed during the meetings may include, but are not limited to attendance, mental health supports, social emotional learning, DCPS budget, special education, college and career programming, equity, and more.
