DCPS Partners

At DC Public Schools, we define a partner as an organization or group that is committed to work with DCPS to make a sustainable impact on a shared goal around student success.

Across the District, we have a range of partners in our schools that provide their time, resources, and support. We believe that partnerships are an integral component to school and student success and we are fortunate to have partners who implement valuable programs, sponsor school initiatives, and invite students to events.

Options for Partnering with DCPS!

Option 1: Become a School Program Provider

Is this the right option for you?

  • Your organization offers a program directly to DCPS schools and/or students,
  • Your program requires collaboration directly with DCPS schools,
  • You do not provide health services or screenings*,
  • And you work with students or schools 3 or more times per year.

*Any organization that provides health services or screenings (including physical health, mental health, or programming for expectant and parenting students) must complete a separate application process through the Student Wellness Division. Start by visiting the Health and Wellness page or Student Mental Health Support page to learn more. Please do not complete the School Program Provider Application.

Step 1: Apply: DCPS School Program Provider Application

All DCPS School Program Providers are required to be vetted and approved before operating in DCPS Schools. School Program Providers are required to complete the application to begin the vetting process. Once approved, School Program Providers will receive:

  • An approval letter from the DCPS School Partnerships Division, allowing the provider to partner with DCPS schools
  • A profile in our School Partnerships Database, where schools can search for partners who can advance their goals

Please review this FAQ document for more information about the vetting process, including details on the grandfathering policy.

Begin your application here.

If your application is not approved, DCPS will share feedback, and your organization will be invited to re-apply once growth areas are addressed.

Step 2: Submit Additional Required Paperwork: Out of School Time Providers Only

Any organization that provides programming to schools before school, afterschool, or during the summer must submit additional documentation. Visit this page to begin planning for these requirements as they may take time/resources to complete.

Option 2: Join a DCPS Program

Is this the right option for you?

  • Your business or organization is looking for a DCPS-led program to join,
  • Your business or organization is not seeking to offer your own existing program,
  • and you’re interested in making an on-going commitment to partner with DCPS schools.

Step 1: Get Started: Learn more about the DCPS-led Programs below

Option 3: Share an Opportunity

Is this the right option for you?

  • Your business or organization is interested in sharing a unique one-time opportunity with DCPS students,
  • and your opportunity does not require on-going collaboration with schools.

Step 1: Get Started
