Project Overview

     Chisholm Elementary School is a DC Public School located in Ward 6. The existing facility comprises the original historic structure, built in 1949, and a 1967 addition. The project is a 104,000 square foot building that will require the demolition of a portion of the existing building, anticipated to be mainly the 1967 addition.

     The project will include new playgrounds, parking and loading facilities, and the addition of new perimeter fencing around the baseball field. The modernized Chisholm ES will be opening its doors to students, staff, and the Chisholm community in Summer 2028, in time for the start of School Year 2028-29.

Project Updates

     The design phase is well underway as concepts have been presented and are being developed upon during the Schematic Design Phase. Archeology exploration is underway. Please refer to the Meeting Materials and Project Resources for more information.
