For Students and Parents
The average financial aid gap for colleges where DCPS students most commonly attend is about $11,000 - $13,000 A YEAR. Therefore, it is essential for students to apply for as many scholarships as possible in order to fill that gap. Scholarships are awarded to students based on various criteria such as their academic achievements, leadership abilities, athletic or artistic talents, ethnic or religious affiliations.
DCPS students should search for scholarship opportunities through their Family Connection account. Additional scholarships and awards can be searched through the Financial Aid Offices of the colleges and universities under consideration.
