The DCPS Benefits Team works diligently as a part of The Office of Talent & Culture, and ensures that benefits structures are compliant, designed and managed to attract and retain a quality workforce, and align with the agency’s overall strategic objectives. Benefits must be elected within 31 calendar days from your date of hire. You may change any chosen benefits each year during our open enrollment period between the months of November to December preceding the New Year. Once benefits are elected, they can’t be changed, excluding a life changing event such as adoption, birth of a child, marriage, divorce or the drop/addition of outside coverage.
